Hey everyone, a View Askew collaborator is up for an Oscar tonight.
Michael Semanick was on of the sound mixers on Lord of the Rings:
Fellowship of the Ring, and he is up for his first Oscar for Best
Sound.

Michael was the man behind the great mix of Morris Day & the Time's
Jungle Love in J&SBSB, starting from a 32-track original and greating
the booty busting 5.1 version you hopefully saw in a theater (or at
home on DVD) + the stereo version on the soundtrack CD.

He also recording and mixed my band, The Pinecone's album. The
Pinecones have songs featured in DOGMA, A BETTER PLACE, and
VULGAR.

So, root for Michael-- he's a great guy and a good friend. ...and a big
fan of J&SBSB!

Thanks,
-Phil
