First, the joke is not funny. Not because of the holocaust aspect just because, it’s not funny. Is it in bad taste, absolutely!

But to be fair… “Hell, did the government of Iraq even do it? No.” You don’t know this for sure.

I’m not for the killing of anyone. But in a ‘him’ or me situation, I pick ‘me’. Those innocent people aren’t (in essence) any different that the original American settlers. They felt they we’re being represented unjustly and (at the risk of their and their families lives) they did something about it. If the people of Iraq are being oppressed (and I think we agree that they are) they better start acting like they’re willing to stand up to Sadam. Because when the proverbial shit starts flying and its time for the ‘him’ or ‘me’ decisions to be made… I’d hate to be on the ‘him’ side.

“This is exactly why we were the victims of this terrible act of terrorism in September.” Stormin’s lame jokes? No you mean our intolerant, callas, uncaring, views of the foreign world. So we shouldn’t joke about wiping out a country run by people bent on our destruction. But they can kill us because we don’t care about them? To be clear us not caring about them doesn’t hurt them (well Stormin not caring doesn’t) and our government is funneling plenty of money to them. They need not care about what Stormin or you or I think, as long as the loot (ah foreign aid) reaches them safely.

“It's letting this kind of insensitivity occur that makes us as bad... not as bad as the terrorists... but certainly as bad as the people who cheered in the streets after the planes hit. Probably worse.”

I think you are dead wrong! Americans would never cheer in the streets if our government or even a rouge faction of Americans crashed two planes into buildings in Afghanistan. Or made any military advancements unprovoked. Further it’s our inability to see the need for military action without an attack on us that has retarded the “War on Terrorism” for the last 30 years.

Bin Laden, Sadam, these mean would be long dead if Reagan, Bush or Clinton could have found a way to lead a fat and happy America into a war. We are much happier to hope for the best and ride out the good times then we are to recognize a threat and act rather then react.

I think for a guy who is often so right on… you are missing a lot of this. This goes way past human rights. They (who ever they is doesn’t matter) so say those who wish to infringe on the lives of Americans to cause us harm or a moment of feeling unsafe… Should know that their actions must be immediately halted or they risk they end of their existence. As scary and wrong as that sounds… even as I type it. It’s a lot better then what they are planning for us.

Not agreeing with us isn’t a reason to kill us. So in my mind they’re wrong, we’re right, Hell I didn’t even care where Iraq was so long as I had gas. Now they’ve angered an entire nation that all ready has the ability to do what they are desperately trying to acquire… the means to blow a country off the map. If I were them, I’d have waited until the playing field was a bit more level. At the risk of sounding like a Jerry Bruckheimer movie... I didn’t want or start this, but I’d be happy to finish it.
