I agree, but I have trouble with that time honores tradition of honoring those consistantly good actors. Those people do deserve credit, but the Academy Awards are suposed to honor the best of the current year not the consistant runners up in past years. The credit these people deserve is an honorary Oscar. In Denzel's case I do believe this was his second Oscar(his first being best supporting for Glory in '89?) though I can't say I say Training Day, I can say that I don't enjoy his acting style, but I guess it has it's appeal. In the end I'm just glad they didn't give it to Russell Crowe (God I hated that movie!).
