I think it was kind of an anomaly myself, since Ethan seemed to be more of the main character... but then again, I guess it's a marketing strategy. If Ethan had been nominated for best actor and Denzel best supporting, Denzel should win it and Ethan almost definitely wouldn't...
But I hope they both win. They both deserve it.

I loved Moulin Rouge. The only other movie I can think of that gives me the same feeling while watching that movie is Pink Floyd's the Wall.
