Actually, however it is spelled, this is the actual story behind Schuller Bob. Affleck was kidding around with Smith about some German release poster for Clerks, and how the hell would Germans get any of the American pop references in the flick. Smith retorted with something along the lines of 'they call me Schuller Bob,' (making up the word and passing it off as if it meant silent in german). So Ben ad libbed it, and his excuse for it was that Bartleby had a back-story where he kept running into different incarnations of Silent Bob throughout history... But it refers to nothing really, as it is in fact a made up word.

: Your right, Jay does say "Shueler" Bob. Schuler Bob is apparently a reference to some sort of viking god of sorts. It was first said by (this is where I may sound condesending, but just in case you dont know yet as your "new") Loki or Matt Damon in Dogma as he's being thrown off the train by Silent Bob. This was a bit of improv by matt in reference to the Viking. It's an interesting and subtle little quirk that always makes me laugh. Exelent first post, welcome.

: : Howdy folks, first post, be gentle...
: : I just finished watching J&SBSB(DVD)for the 4th time. Awesome. I think I caught a mention of "Schuller Bub"(sp?). Towards the end, when Jay and SB don the Bluntman and Chronic outfits and head down the hall, they are stopped and exit stage right. As they wisk offscreen I thought I heard Jay yell Schuller Bub real quickly. Right around 1:14:50 in the movie...
: : Anyone agree, anyone...
