A "Star" that has influenced you, would be to greet him like you would greet any person for the first time. Maybe something like this "Hi my name is (insert name here) How are you? (Maybe try a How the hell are you if you know they won't freak out) I really enjoy your work, and just wanted to say thank you. (If they respond with conversation, then cool, and upon leaving say) It was a pleasure meeting you, hope to see you again."
This actually worked when I met Kevin Spacey, and Danny Devito They were really nice guys, and I ended up talking with them for about a half an hour
