Howdy all, just wanted to make my presence known & few other quick things.
Recently went to the MegaCon in Orlando, was a blast, 'specially since here in Miami we never get comic conventions anymore. Ya get rated "most dangerous city in the U.S." one time by an incompetent newspaper and no one comes round no more, 's a shame.
Anyway, got to have Kevin Smith sign somethin which damn near made the trip worth it, but sadly, he was kinda pissy by the time i got to 'im; just got back from a long-ass cigarette break, seemed the fans before me ran him ragged. Wanted to ask shit like "Hey Kevin, whats your favorite comic?" and offer him a place to bum out whilst in Miami, but I just felt bad for the guy by the time it was my turn. Kinda got gyped, but ah well, least i got a signature - for the record, i had nothin on me, and I'm a huge fan of Ennis' Preacher, so i had 'im sign his foreward to Preacher trade paperback # 2, in which he enscripted "I wrote this". That was kinda cool.
Anyway, ill stop wastin everyone's time. Thing is, another old roomate/college buddy of mine has his own discussion forum/bullshit corner going, promised i'd mention it over here out of our feint hope that Kevin Smith himself might grace it with a post of his own or two (i mentioned that he has his own forum; he insisted to ask nicely & offer whisky or somethin).

Well, I'm a man o' my word, and keepin my end of the deal, I'm issuing a personal invite to the man himself, as well as any of his staff or any of you fine folks on this board to mosey on down. We have arenas for philosophy, current events, video games, comics, a personal Fight Club & everythin in between, so hope to see a few of ya there.
PS Kevin - At the forum at MegaCon, you said you listen to folks who bitch at you here on the internet. I won't do that, but for what it's worth, this shameless plug for my friend was kinda your idea, so come on down if you've got a free minute or two to register & post, it'd mean the world to us.
