Dear Mr. Smith,
Do I think that you’re going to actually going to respond back to this? Probably not but it’s worth a FUCKING try. I’m writing this because I’m a high school student at Arlington High School and some my friends and I are making an independent film that hopefully gets into the Toronto young filmmakers festival. So I’m writing this so that maybe you could shed some light on this new be of filmmaking. Since you are a seasoned professional in all and I thought that since I’m not asking for money (yet:: makes a slight chuckle:: ) I just thought you could give this first time director some advice. Well I know you have jam packed schedule and you get so much mail that after read a couple of those letters your brain is about to explode (speaking figuratively of cores) so if maybe by some strange force of nature you respond to this letter with some advice it would be very cool.
