You know, someone on the board said the items on eJay are weak. I disagree. An 'Amy' poster, signed by Lee, Smith, & Mewes? Gold. The Fish Tank video? A classic. A bloody Surly Duck and Cardinal Glick's Buddy Christ rosary? Awesome.

What's weak is how much they're going for. I wouldn't pay thirty bucks for a fish tank video I can get at Wal-Mart for 14.99 (probably 9.99) and just as easily claim to be the one used in 'Amy'. Especially if I send it off to Kevin, or Lee, or Mewes, and ask them to sign it for me.

I'm not going to pay $180 for an 'Amy' poster signed by Lee, Mewes, and Smith because 1) I've been able to get Marilyn and Brian Lynch to sign my Clerks/Chasing Amy Script book (that came signed by Kevin Smith) for just the price of sending it to them along with some stamps to send it back, and 2) Because I got a Variety article for about a proposed sitcom starring Lee, signed by Kevin, to me. Yes, I proudly hang on my wall an article that has, in sharpie, "Dan, what could have been...Kevin Smith" and I only paid 37 bucks for it.

The only thing I've seen that was worth what it sold for was a shirt, and that's only because it was worn by Amy Noble. And if you reread that sentence, you will realize just how creepy/truthful it really is.
