The man was enjoying a smoke break, surprisingly devoid of fans (it was dinner break), when I met him. I went over, asked him if he minded signing my "Clerks/Chasing Amy" book and my copy of "Clerks" on VHS. He said sure and took care of both of them, no problem. I then, quite sheepishly, asked if I could get my picture taken with him. He smiled and said "Sure, it's your day." It was cemented in my head right there that Kevin Smith is all about his fans. I mean, he filmed a 20 million dollar thank-you note to all his View Askew faithful with "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back". How can you dismiss that?

My point? Kevin is there for his fans. If he doesn't cut a line off at some number, he'll be there all night. Some fans understand his, some don't, but the fact that the man will answer your questions here when he could be doing something else just points out his faithfulness to his fanbase.
