As someone from the region of Matthew Shepard (Montana) and who's sympathetic to causes like that, I say three cheers for donating. (yeah, reitterating what everyone else has said)
A local couple up in Missoula, a lesbian couple with a young child, just had their house burned down last week because they're involved in a lawsuit with the State Education system for gay-partner medical benefits.
Crazy shit happens up here in the West.
