I got JASBSB and D.F. the other day, and goddamn...
I went and saw JASB in the theaters 2wice, but for some reason, since I got it, I have probably watched it damn near 10 times... it seems better for some reason,( probably because I can actually hear all the jokes, without the audience laughing so much ) but after so many repeat viewings.. this is sailing right up my favorite viewaskew films list... number 2 now, after mallrats...
but anyway, is it me, or does the body involuntarily make you laugh when Chris Rock knocks the cup of coffee to the floor for the second time? I have tried to get by this scene without laughing, I've even had the movie on and wasn't paying attention, but regardless, that scene somehow jumps into my sight and I can't stop laughing...
It's the pinancle moment of the movie to me... that and the bong saber battle, after quiet robert gets knocked out and jay makes his entrance... excellent... and the bong hit jay does has also been a great moment for me and my friends, this movie just keeps getting better and better, it's gonna be one of my tops, smokin' weed to, movies ever, non-stop laughs... great shit....
And I've only watched Drawing Flies twice so far, but it's friggin' fantastic... it's has my favorite kind of humor... odd/dark humor... and it's a good story... The sound was a little weak, but the soundtrack was tight... and I don't care about that stuff anyway... I'd prefer a fun atari game to a graphics filled, salt flavored peice of shit X-box game or something, but anyway, I still gotta listen to the Drawing Flies commentary, so I gotta jet... but to anyone who read this... I do wonder if that Chris Rock scene makes the voice box into a laugh box for anyone else... every time..?
