That was pretty damn funny... That is until I recalled your opening words. I realized that it wasn't humor that you were going for, it was just plain and regular. The fact that you neglected to see a movie just because your "friends" might think ill of you, is such a weak move. Now it's not just because they were gay or lesbian, it's you. If you didn't go see American History X BECAUSE you have black friends, I'd give you the same shit. Regardless of what you say, it's the exact same. Why don't you realize that if your "friends" got pissed about you seeing a movie (In other words, making your own decisions and living your own life) then they are the ignorant and closed-minded ones. Not you. That's not the case though now. Anyway, glad you finally saw the flick.
