A lot of the time, a post could start off as on-topic, but some of our more "chatty" posters (you know, the kind who post "Why isn't anybody posting?") often take these innocent threads and turn them into a haven for their little conversations. So if you were to have every post in the thread that you started sent to your email box, you could end up with 42 emails with subject headings like, "What's up Stormy? *nt*", "Not a lot. *nt*", "What are you up to this weekend? *nt*", and, of course, the ever-popular, "Not much. I'm going to sit inside and post on a webboard all weekend. *nt*"
Of course, some folks might like that.
