We all know the story about Jon Peters and his stupid spiders... That moron turns just about everything he touches into shit. O first, if you call this too off-topic, then just quit reading here.

So I was looking at the messageboard at carlspackler.com and I found the following from last year about Caddyshack 2 (Peters produced that movie, like he did the first).

Caddyshack II was originally intended for for Rodney Dangerfield, Sam Kinson, Bill Murray, Chevy Chase (already in it). When Rodney and Sam read over the script they wanted to make a few adjustments (who wouldn't) they did make adjustments (I'll spend night and day to find that adjusted script, even if I have to go back in time!) But the director whatever dumbass made the movie refused (burn in hell) So rodney would of been the main chachter as takeing over JAck Mason's role, and sam kinson was going to be the lawyer, which Randy Quiad was in, and bill murray was going to be in Dan Akroyd's spot. Ah your proabably wondering why bill murray didn't play in the movie, well sorry I can't tell you, I have know clue. So that's what could of been a half decent movie if that stupid dumb prick didn't refuse on rodney's script! Oh well mabye god willing their will be a caddyshack III before Rodney dies! Adios!

Here quote part ends

Well, Caddyshack 2 was written by Harold Ramis and some short-resume loser. My guess: Ramis wrote the 'original' script for Rodney, Kinison, Murray and Chase, Rodney rewrote it and one of the producers didn't care for it. Why not the director? The director was Allan Arkush, who has directed "Rock&Roll High School" in 79 and then directed shitty movies (1981's "Heartbeeps" aka the ONLY reason that Andy Kaufman's brilliant script "The Tony Clifton Story" movie didn't get made) and sitcoms... I don't think this guy had a lot to say... he probably was just happy to be working.
So, my guess is that one of the producers had to rearrange everything, and mess everything up. Or maybe it was Rodney, maybe the first drafts sucked as well, or maybe it was the director after all.
So, let's take a look at the Suspects: Rodney, Arkush, Ramis, producer Neil Canton, producer Peter Guber, or producer JON PETERS?

Well, I say it's got Jon 'Superman vs. the giant spider' Peters written all over it.
