In video-game terms, following an ancillary character around on his own little quest is called a "gai-den." (Hence the Tecmo blockbuster NES hit, NINJA GAI-DEN.) I think that there are a bunch of Askewniverse characters that'd be well served with their own li'l gai dens.
Actually, seeing how well Dante and Randall work together in color and not swearing, the possibility of a CLERKS live action show made me all wistful. Not like that'd get done at this point (if they tried, it'd be the THIRD time that CLERKS attempted to hit the small screen.) But then again, third time's a charm, right? Actually, it'd be a viable move; the critical slant could be "Kevin Smith hits after missing with cartoon.."
In any case, this is all just pie-in-the-sky banter, as I'm sure that the TV craziness that went down with ABC has made the notion of attempting to stage any sort a painful memory that discourages re-attempting...sort of like asking Reginald Denny to take a leisurely drive through downtown LA, for old time's sake.
