: Was there not a production company or someting behind it funding it? Or did no one want to fund one of Kevin's flicks after Mallrats bombed at the box office (damn good movie though)
: : :-)

: : Also NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD, THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE, MARTIN, DAWN OF THE DEAD, THE EVIL DEAD, CLERKS, RESERVOIR DOGS, EL MARIACHI, WELCOME TO THE DOLLHOUSE, CHASING AMY, THE UNBELIEVABLE TRUTH, TRUST, SLACKER, HALLOWEEN...

...or private investors or something. It was originally supposed to be a 'Max flick, but they wanted David Schwimmer and Drew Barrymore to be leads, so ol' Smitty made the flick himself which is what makes it independant. It was just so good that the company that was originally going to make it picked it up and released it.
