This Sunday at 11 PM, as part of their Adult Swim block, Cartoon Network is showing Evan Dorkin's "Welcome To Eltingville" cartoon. If it's anywhere close to his "Eltingville Comic Book, Science Fiction, Horror, Fantasy, and Role-Playing Club" comics, it should be really funny stuff. Joe Bob says: Check It Out!
"Eltingville" is about four teenage fanboys who personify everything that is wrong with fandom. These are the kind of trolls that Kevin was going after in J&SBSB. It's not about bashing all comics, sci-fi, etc., cause you have to be somewhat immersed in the culture yourself to get the jokes. It's just about the selfish, backbiting, anit-social cretins that these things seem to spawn. If you've been on this board, you've seen them.
Cartoon Network is showing the premiere episode, "Bring Me The Head Of Boba Fett," and may order more episodes based on the viewer reation.
