: I have to say, that as an actor, I have never thought of Jason Lee as an exceptionally tallented man, in comparison to the greats (Denero, Nicholson, Hoffman, Hanks, etc...). However, I must say that althoug every character he's played in every VA flick has made me laugh my ass off, I still contend that his best performance to date was in that movie with Will Smith and Gene Hackman (I usually remember the name, but I'm really drunk right now). Anybody with me?

: I also would like to say that if Kevin Smith has still not seen "A Beautiful Mind" he is missing out. I am a Russell Crowe hater, but to not give credit to him for this movie would be a shame. Who's with me!

: Please post responses, as I rarely post notes, and would like to know what you all think of my opinion.

: cool
: Murph

someone at that point in his life.
And kudos to Kevin for writing a role like that - a guy who works at his craft and is not wearing a suit. Rarely do we get to see that picture of counterculture young men.
And Lee pulled it off beautifully - funny, like you said, but multi-layered and believable.

Oh, excuse my gush. I could go on for days....
