I'm not quite sure what to think. I missed the flick while it was in theaters and I was really anticipating seeing it when it came on video. In preperation for its release my wife and I watched the other four in sucession. After finishing them we went to the video store and rented J&SB. It wasn't what I expected. Rather than being dialouge driven and most of the jokes coming from the dialouge it seemed to be visually driven. Don't get me wrong, there were parts of the film where I fell out laughing, but it wasn't the same. This flick seemed to be more in the vein of Airplane or A Scary Movie, than a jersey flick. I mean they look at the audience! I could relate to the characters in the other films (Dante, T.S., Holden, Bethany) but I couldn't find anyone in this one. It's like Banky said that the end: it was one big gay joke. Now I have nothing against that, it just wasn't what I expected. I'm sure it was a blast to write and make, but rather than coming up with some really funny and original jokes (independent contractors on the second Death Star) it just made fun of themselves or things that tons of other people have already ripped. Maybe a second viewing (now knowing that it's more of a multi-parody rather than a just a comedy) will help me like it more. I really want to like the flick, but I think I may need some help. Can anyone please help me like it more?
