...here's what I've noticed the few times I've seen the Quick Stop on film in living colour (The Soul Asylum video, JASBSB): my attention wanders and I don't focus as much on the characters. Convenience stores, especially REALLY small ones like that are packed with so much crap and merchandise that it's a little overwhelming on the screen...SO many different colors and labels and just plain mountains of STUFF that I waste my time scanning the screen instead of just focusing on the characters like I can with "Clerks"...if you remember, the really stripped down the interior colors of the store for the cartoon, too...
