I was just watching Empire and Jedi again for the millionth time. I remembered back when I was kid and how I felt about Darth Vader. I hated Vader in Star Wars but started to like him in Empire. His light saber skills were hot and then I noticed they did a flip on us. Vader was the one who tortured Leia, froze Han and ruined Lando's business. But if you notice at the end of Empire we see a sympathetic Vader reaching out to his son. He walks back down the bridge of is Battle Cruiser with one of the most sad walks I've ever seen Vader do. They actually made us feel sorry for Vader and then that last line by Vader to Luke from ship to ship using the force, "Son?" and Luke says back "Father?". Damn that shit almost made me cry last night. When did we all start to like Vader? Vader became a hero at the end of Jedi. Didn't we all feel sad for Vader when Luke kicked him down the stairs and Vader couldn't land on his feet? Damn, they played with my emotions.
So my question is, when did you start to like Vader and which do you like more, the dark side or the good side of the force? Not the Sith. Sith magic and the dark side are two different things. Sith Lords use both.
