Alright I just read about New Line picking up the rights for a movie based on the video game State of Emergency. Now I like the game and all, but a movie...did we learn nothing from Super Mario Brothers and Final Fantasy?

I know that a few comic book have made the jump and a few have missed the mark. But has a video game based movie ever made it?
