Anyway, the whole ash-cross-on-forehead thing. I remember serving mass as a child, learning about the significance, where the ash comes from etc. That always came in handy as in later years I just crossed my head in moistened cigarette ash and avoided mass. When asked I could always give them whatever info they needed...
I started going again, though. Two or three years ago.
