....granted, some true hip-hop classics came out of it, early NWA, early Ice Cube albums, Dre's albums, The D.O.C., Snoop's first album, but other than that, it didn't really last...East Coast hip-hop has given us De La Soul, Tribe Called Quest, Public Enemy, Beastie Boys, Wu-Tang Clan, Gang Starr...shit, you wanna get techincal, Outkast is Eastside, too...both coasts have had some gems, but in terms of lasting importance, the Eastside IS the best side...
