: Would you be able to recommend which Argento films I should watch. For instance, which say 5 films of his you would consider his best. Is there is a certain order one should watch them in?

I'm a big fan of Deep Red. Not only is it one of my favorite Argento film, but it's also one of my favorite movies.

In the same vein, Tenebrae is another awesome flick in the same giallo style.

Suspiria is brilliant. Just amazing. I wish I had an opportunity to watch this in a theater, because the colors and compositions in this film are incredible. Different than the other two I mentioned, because it follows a supernatural theme.

Inferno, the sequel to Suspiria ( part two of an unfinished trilogy ), is damn good too. I know Vincent loves this film, so I'll let him talk it up... but definitely a classic.

Opera I've just recently seen, and I'm becoming a fan of. Not one of my favorites only due to the fact that I haven't seen it as much, but the more and more I watch it... the higher and higher it climbs on my list. And after you watch it, I'm sure you'll be hesitant to look through the peep hole of your door ever again.

These are the five that I might take a look at if I were starting out. Of course, don't try to watch Inferno before Suspiria, but that goes without saying.

Some ones to save until after you've watched a few pieces and have gotten into his work... Trauma: Just not good. Phantom of the Opera: I really liked this, but others seem to not... I dunno. I like the idea of a Phantom who isn't physically deformed, but emotionally.

And of course Sleepless.... Vincent has shit on this film since the first time he saw it, and I think I have lost all credibility with him over this, because I actually enjoyed it. I don't think it was as bad as he thought it was... I definitely liked it better than Trauma, but hey... what can you do. I'd go with his opinion on this one over mine though because I'm just some guy on an internet webboard with a pipe dream of working in film, and he's a guy with an incredible amount of knowledge and talent that has proven himself as someone whose opinion should be trusted.

Shit, he made the movie that made me think that I had no chance making it in film. And then another Flixtour film called Little Shots of Happiness made me realize that I could.

God, LSoH was bad....

Hope I could help.
