That should be blaming Kevin for the state of the global economy.

Bit trigger happy on the button there.

: Take it easy, because its completely out of Kevin's control. Saying stuff like "you're moving closer every step of the way to pissing off people who you should count as fans" is not the right way of going about solving anything. You're on the right track by saying that your going to purchase the Region 1s. That's what I've always done with Kevin's movies, but I had the Region 1s well before the Region 4s were released, so I was never in the position you're in. It's easier to just buy the DVDs from the stash, rather than try and investigate why the Australian distributors don't use the features. Remember when you buy merchandise from the Stash, it supports Kevin and it comes signed, so don't worry about the extra few bucks you have to shell out for the exchange rate. The way you're going, next you'll be blaming for the global economy!

: Peace man. Hope you enjoy the region 1s. I sure have!

: Cheers,

: A.J.

: : What is going on with the quality of the Australian release DVDs of Kevin's movies?

: : In the past month I've bought DVD copies of Chasing Amy, Clerks and Mallrats from Siren Entertainment in Australia for archival purposes. I was anticipating the quality to be good and watchable just like the copy of Dogma I bought, and I was completely ripped off.

: : Chasing Amy and Clerks' picture quality is bad at best and awful in many places The DVDs are pure 4:3 pan and scan, which on a number of occasions left me unable to even fucking see some of the characters just off the screen even while they were talking and all the video was subject to lots of fading and visible artefacting.

: : Now I've seen both of these movies on VHS and they were nowhere near as shit as this, and what's with the lack of DVD bonuses the US copies of the DVDs get shipped with? I've never heard a commentary or anything on the shit DVDs I bought.

: : Keven, if you ever get around to reading this, please think about who releases your movies in territories other than the USA and pay some attention to how they are packaged, presented and their content. The DVDs for Chasing Amy and Clerks were as bad as some of the VCDs I've seen floating around friend's houses and when I paid $40 each for them you'd think I'd end up with something that looked a bit better than a third rate cinema taping ripped to VCD.

: : Some of us are unable to choose what is for sale here, and when we put our money into your chosen distributors pocket we hope that you have the nicety to ensure that we receive quality product. I'm now in a position where I'm going to sell on my copies of these DVDs second hand and have to repurchase them from your web site to ensure I get true widescreen as opposed to pan and scan with a shit transfer, and with the way the Australian dollar is against the US$, you're moving closer every step of the way to pissing off people who you should count as fans.
