: On my way home last night, it was raining, but besides for being wet, the main roads were fine. They sanded and salted them anyway.

: So, I get to my road, which is a dead end 2 mile dirt one. GLARE ICE. Literally. The road looked like it was made of obsidian. I go as far as I can go, moving forward even without the gas on, and I come upon two other cars with their flashers on. They had been stuck there an hour, and had been calling the State Police to get the sand trucks down there. They're too busy farting around on the main roads, and hadn't been down ONCE.

: We ended up sitting there, in our cars, until 1:00 this morning, because they needed so much sand they had to go back and get more, twice. And it was impossible to even take a step without falling, therefore making walking home not an option. So, I'm going to royally chew someone's ear off today.

: GRRRRR. I need to move to the city.

Believe me. It's the same story. The main roads and highways are all salted but they leave the secondary roads, ie:the roads that are taken to the highways unsalted. When I lived at home, I would have to leave an extra half an hour early since there would be a 45 minute backup to the salted rd. I really don't understand it myself.
