I went to the one in SF, and I played some real hard Pumpkins-type stuff, making full use of harmonic trip combos when I could. Not expecting to actually make it, I bought some nice-looking picks, a slide, and some Blue Steels before I left. I wonder what happened after that? Hmm...
I was tempted to play "Happiness Pie" from Brain Candy backwards.
I don't recall as many rules as you do. I did get to play through a line 6 spider, though. Not sure of the exact type.
