OKAY, i just have to say it, i recommend EVERYONE to check out their album/s and to see them live, this band has got it going on in a BIG way, this guys are going to be HUUGE very soon, mark my words. I saw there film clip very early in the morning on rage about 2 months ago, then a couple weeks later their album came into work so i bought it straight away, eager to hear a new band that actually had some talent, and was blown away by it. THEN i saw they got added to the big day out bill, so at the gig i mosied my way down to the second front row, dead centre and did they put on a performance, prepared to say one of the greatest musical performances i have ever witnessed (other great acts i have seen have been pearl jam, deftones, foo fighters). i mean, these guys REALLY rocked. it has been a long time since i have been that impressed by a band, and i have seen a LOT of live acts.
trust me, these guys will be HUUGE
: Other than the few bands still kicking about that were great 5 years ago, like Spiderbait and such, we're just as burdened with Wank-Rock as anyone else.
: Music needs a good kick up the arse. Not just Australian music, but music in general.
: Fuck Nu-Metal. Fuck Contemporary Hard Rock. And fuck all these whiny pussy-bands whining 'soulfully' about laying in bed with the missus or how much they love their city, accompanied by acoustic guitar and/or a tinkling piano.
: Fuck all these posturing cockheads in backwards baseball caps and two-dollar showbag masks, ruining the perfectly good concepts of rap and metal by shoving them artlessly together and churning out album after shithouse album simply to prove to the world that they can rhyme 'fuck' with 'fuck'.
: What we need is raw, sweaty, strutting, hollering, old-fashioned RAWK. Lyrics about fucking and getting drunk, yelled in no identifyable key. It's out there, and it's slowly getting popular again -- we've got the White Stripes and The Strokes doing well -- and for that reason, I still have hope.
: Cheers.
