Well, assuming that you aren't being sarcastic about the "nice-lookin'" part, thanks, but we weren't exactly groupies. In case you didn't notice, we were in charge of distributing and pimping the buttons for charity. We do love Vincent, though.
XOXO--Courtney
PS-Isn't the Tradewinds where Dokken played on Friday night or something?
: SAT.: Flew in & went to The Stash for our tickets/buttons. Walt, Ming & Vincent were there. Vincent seemed to have some groupies with him at the table (nice-lookin' ladies there Vince). My buddy & I later went out to a bar called the Tradewinds in Long Branch(?). If you haven't gone there, I recommend it. Lovely "eye candy" there.
: SUN.: Went on our tour of some of the movie sites & ate lunch at the Marina Diner from Chasing Amy. We actually sat in the same booth that Affleck, Mewes, & Smith sat in. It wasn't planned - the hostess just happened to sit us there (very cool). After that we went to the Quick Stop, Posten's Funeral Home & Victory Park. Late Sunday night we headed to the Holiday Inn for the gathering at Morgan's & Rm #509 (thanks #509-ers for the hospitality).
: MON.: V3, Day 1: Mr. Smith standing at the door greeting the fans/taking pictures was VERY cool of him. We were in theater 2 and saw some great flicks. "Vulgar" & "Now You Know" were particularly impressive. What was with Lee's hair in his video greeting?? Monday night was the Memory Lanes party of course - the band, Merrik(sp?), was great. Kev's wife, Jen, was not only beautiful but very friendly & talkative (I think she wanted me - j/k). She said her black, vinyl outfit from J&SBSB will be put on display at The Stash sometime soon (do I hear 2nd trip?). Then there was the 2nd party in rm #509 (thanks again). I didn't leave there until after 6am.
: TUES.: We woke up after 12 noon, went to The Stash & took some pics of the inside and outside of the store. I also got pics of Jack's Music Shoppe across the street & the place where Alyssa & Holden argue in the rain in Chasing Amy. Then I went to the airport to get my ugly-ass back home.
: I had a great time & met some great people - and not just the filmmakers/stars. Thanks to everyone I met and to the folks in #509 for being very hospitable & cool about people trashing their room. But most importantly, thanks to Kev for having Vulgarthon.
: My only disappointments were:
: 1. Not getting my hat signed by Vincent, Ming & Mosier (I got everyone else though).
: 2. Not really meeting everyone on the board in person that I wanted to.
: 3. Not hearing the message Affleck recorded or Mewes' phone call.
: 4. Not being able to see Ground Zero. Carly - if you have any pics, let me know.
: 5. Not being able to meet my carjacking quota for the month. I was shooting for 37, but only got up to 28. Maybe next year.
: 6. Not waking up one morning with a bunch of naked beauties in bed with me and/or not being able to make my own "Girls Gone Wild on Vulgarthon '02". LIFE'S JUST NOT FAIR!!! Boo-hoo.
: Anyway...check out my V3 site. I've got a lot of pics there (with more to come later) and with more "tweaks" to it.
