Coudln't agree with you more! IMHO most re-issues are pointless, with the exception of UNTOUCHED masterpieces like 2001 (by which I mean nothing added).
Back in the pre-video days you'd get re-releases of things like Raiders of Jaws, which was awesome - but NOW, fuck, I mean do we NEED to take the guns out of ET?!?!?
