1. They weren't blockbuster smashes at the box office. It's basic supply & demand, with a large amount of the public clammoring for a movie, it would drive the price lower. But like I said above, since they weren't smashes, there isn't a large enough audience for it and therefore, the price remains somewhat high.


2. They are full of extras. If it was just the flick, they'd cost less.
