I was the other way around..I felt happy go lucky in my civic nature, and then I started doing some reading on Indonesia, and the like, and somewhere my heart broke. I absolutely need to know that my thoughts aren't completely transient. Writing them down at least gives them a life span longer than the latest burst of anger.
