Yes it is. Its totally fair to judge someone because I've seen them on TV. When people say "I hate Kevin Smith" they're saying they hate his movies, not Kevin Smith personally. Same thing applies here. When I say Carson Daly is a douchebag, I'm saying that because he's a douchebag on TV. What he's like in personal life has absolutely no effect.
That's what bashing celebrities is all about. You're not bashing them personally, you bashing who they advertise themselves to be. I stand behind my calling Carson Daly a douchebag, because when I turn on the TV and look at him, I see a douchebag. He's not a REAL person to me, he's just a face on tv.
But he's a real person to you, so I completely understand why you stand up for him.
