Come on, we had our share of crap, and over-commercialization (Most of us grew up in the 80's, right?), but it was over-shadowed by desperate Boomers and Gen X'ers so bereft of identity and individuality that they latched onto anything they could remember from their joyless, spoiled childhoods, crappy cartoons included...of course, on the upshot, this led a lot of these mooks to go out and make some bitching cartoons of their own that reach far beyond kids these days...call me crazy, but NOBODY will convince me that the last few years haven't been THE best overall time for animation in any form (With the exception of the shorts produced by Warner Bros. and MGM in the 30's and 40's)...
