I actually don't support many sequels. I think that the ending of Dogma was perfect save the fact that Damon twitches after he's dead but thats beside the point. It had tons of finality- adding onto the story would kill it. It is much better to end a film and leave parts of it open to interpretation for the audience. Once a writer or director decided to tell the audience what they were supposed to get out of a movie by making a sequel the story loses something- especially for the viewers that enjoyed their interpretation better. When the filmmaker tells them that they were wrong that can turn them not only against the film but against future works.
