I realize bulletin boards just don't work this way, but it would be nice to block all text posted by certain individuals. That way, this could be the Kevin Smith board again and not the "Hey, I'm pathetic. Please pick on me and me alone" board. Sometimes ignoring a person is the only way to make them stop, but it only works if it's done fairly universally and consistently. Even posters who decide, "I'm not going to reinforce that individual's desperate attention seeking behavior," will sometimes see a post or an easy setup they feel compelled to respond to anyway.
