It just depends on the perspective...if you're making a broad comedic assault on a subject in general without focusing on a particular person, hey, I kind of look at it as being an "all bets are off" situation...I just think it's wrong if someone addresses someone's specific sexual assault, or the person who was assaulted individually...but to throw a whole topic out the window is an overstep and smacks too much of censorship...there are ways around everything...does that mean people can't make jokes about idiots who use defenses like "she was asking for it" or "she dressed like a whore?" I mean, technically those ARE rape jokes, just taking a different perspective...white comedians can't do a riff on "black people vs. niggers" like Rock does, and rightly so, but I've seen plenty of non-black comedians do bits on why they CAN'T say it...they do it without stereotypes or other racial slurs or "Southern Comfort" humor, and without actually using the "n-word," but they're still technically doing shtick about it without making an ass of themselves...
