Well, not quite perfect, but they'll do... Republicans (whom I tend to agree more with, but do not affiliate myself with.) are grotesquely blunt about things when it comes to "attacking" or even debating. Democrats are much more subtle about things... That could be seen either as being more civil or being devious, niether is necessarily true... But I guarantee they are just as likely to attack as Republicans.
What those quotes ARE perfect in exemplifying is what totally sickens me about politics. Most people on BOTH sides are so hung up about proving themselves right over the other side that hardly anyone ever attempts to COMPROMISE anymore. Isn't that really what people, especially our representatives and senators, should do? Compromise. I'd say it would be much more effective in pleasing the country as a whole than pushing a single, unwaivering viewpoint.
