I say we weed out all the assholes by making this board a pay site. A one time fee of 20 bucks or so, if you get banned and you want to be sneaky about getting in again, fine, another 20 bucks. If Kevin doesn't feel the need to charge money, then when you register with your name address and CC or money order, you get a 20 dollar item from the online stash. Let all the people in the world view it but to post you have to do the pay/register thing to post, and who's going to sit there and type offtopic shit all day at the risk of losing 20 bucks? Just a thought but I think it will weed out tooooons of people and the people with annoying potential will shape up so they don't lose their money.

: This sucks, I know, but really what can we do about it? Now that the OWB is gone we may have to put up with this stuff for a while. Hopefully many of them will realize we don't appreciate the clutter and simply move on. I think a bit of sympathy IS in order for them though. : The thing with Norman: Stormy has always been rather....outspoken I will say. His brand of humor is not for everyone. His words are generally not censored, and he entertains a lot of us for the most part. I agree, he has landed himself in some hot water recently, I have been there myself a couple of times (granted never merriting dissapproval from the man himself) and it doesn't feel so good. I don't think it helped to his idea of this board to have that rubbed in his face when he was simply (what I believe) trying to offer a suggestion.
: I'm not trying to argue with you Smalls, I respect your posts and your take on things. I've been here since '98 myself - no one would remember me because I never had much of anything quality to say until '00 and only recently have I emerged as a regular. I like this board and I admire the man for letting us use it, all I'm saying is that it's not ours to control. Offer suggestions up to Ben and Ming, yes, but not to control.
