It happens. There's nothing you can do about it but keep yourself busy. Don't get mad at your friend, you'd probably be the same way. He's not deserting you, he just found someone who is all that matters to him now. You feel abandoned, which is normal, but just find other (single) people to hang with.
My friends eventually got married to these girlfriends and now I maybe see them once or twice a year.
