Ok, I've been working on this theory ever since I first saw Mallrats on VHS and tried to understand why it flopped. I have no decided that it was due to the fact that Claire Forlani is Box Office Kryptonite. She can be seen in more major flops than Steve Guttenberg. Let's do the list, first off the M movies Mallrats(A fucking good film), Mystery Men(I thought it was ok) Meet Joe Black(didn't see, but Pitt and Hopkins aren't that bad) and Police Academy 7:Mission to Moscow(How the FUCK did I not see that). There's also Antitrust(a deservant flop with Mr. Greesy Reesy) and Boys and Girls(didn't see that either). The only hole in my arguement seems to be in The Rock, in which she had some minor role I don't clearly recall personally, but I've been told she's in it. I do have a justification for the success of the Rock...Sean Connery. Nothing can kill the Grimace.
As I said I don't think she ruins movies, but she certainly seems to slow up their chances of success. Alright, so if I'm way off here and the Brit who speaks American English(well, she does kinda) has some big hit movie, let me know.
