: I think we're getting a little crazy with all this planning every night shit for Vulgarthon.
I agree, and can speak from experience. Planning out anything for hundreds of random people is like herding cats. Unless you're a celebrity, in which case they'll follow your every whim.
Courtney's right. Besides Memory Lanes and the Thon itself, don't try to plan anything. It's gonna be freezing outside, and people won't be interested in gathering anywhere else besides those two places and at the Inn. When we have use of the restaurant tables at night, Morgan's is big enough to accomodate our crowd, and they ID at the bar, so the under 21 folks can get in and hang.
: Not everyone is 21, and I know there will be some crying about that, but that's how it goes.
That's not cool. I'll bet that almost 20% of the ticket buyers this year will be under 21, and they should be able to take part just as much as the rest of us. The Downtown Cafe bit in '99 was a shaft for those folks, and that really pissed me off. I agree with Vincent that we won't have those issues this year, but still...
Remember when you were under 21 and couldn't do jack shit, and don't wish that bullshit on anyone. Right now there's nineteen-year-old 'kids' risking their lives for our country, but they can't walk into a freakin bar and have a drink. There's something wrong with that...
: More than likely, this event will not provide for the same kind of close-knit, drunken love-fest that the others have because we will have to split up. It's just going to be that way. And, just another note of advice, little rivalries between Theatre 1/theatre 2 and especially Day 1/Day 2 are going to pop up because we're weirdos that way. It is all in fun.
See, I hope these things don't happen, but you're right, they probably will...
