i'm writing a paper based on Kevin's quote about the WTC from his post on September 16th. i'm using elements from history, current events, and the film dogma to help support the theses that "people take their religion way too seriously" as he so succinctly put it.

anyway, this paper, which began as a "holy shit, it's due tomorrow and i need four pages", has quickly become something rather important to me. the message that was delivered at the end of dogma almost parallels the events on 9/11 perfectly. if anybody's interested in helping out with the paper, or even in just reading it, i'd love to share.

by the way, the poem by kevin was exceptional. great art accompanying it, too.

oh yeah, and the subject is the title of the paper

(and no, i don't mean that the message was lost on everyone. i'm sure almost everybody on this board got the message, and a large group of people probably got it. episcopalian scholar and bishop jack spong even worked the film and its message into his sermons when it first came out in theaters. i mean it was lost because unfortunately it didn't last a long time in theaters and it didn't touch as many people as it could have. so no flames, please!).

thanks a lot!
