"Ok, wait a minute.... I KNOW you didn't just call Will a 'one-note' comedian and then go and back-up Jim Breuer."

'Fraid so.

"don't get me wrong, Jim is funny, but talk about one-note comedians. He's been around for years, I've seen him do stand up live a number of times, plus on TV and in movies. He ALWAYS does the same tired bits."

Doesn't matter. The point is, he can do several bits and impersonations and do them extremely well. His Joe Pesci impersonation is the best I've seen. Ferrell can't do impersonations, but he impersonates almost everyone (viz., Al Gore [before Darrell Hammond did him], George W. Bush, Saddam Hussein, Bill Renquist, Janet Reno and so on). None of those impersonations were any good.

"The stoner bit, the boogieman the stomach bouncer, the sears bomb, over and over with little to no new material. That's what I call one-note."

That's not one note because he does several bits. He may not be on par with the Kids in the Hall, but he possesses more comedic talent than Will Ferrell.

"Will may do the same bits in every movie, but who cares, variety doesn't neccessarily make the comedian."

When your gig is sketch comedy, is does matter. A lot.

"So, my point is, dont back Jim if your gonna diss Will. Jim is as one note as they get"

Again, Breuer is a better comedian. I'm far from being the biggest Breuer fan in the world, but I recognize his superior ability.
