The main problem is that I live three blocks from the office, and six blocks from where we are meeting up at. :( And I don't drive. The ONLY thing I can think of is to say I'm going home to mom's for the weekend (ie public transportation), but then they'd ask "Why can't you go tomorrow morning?" Maybe because I'm moving home next week (looooong story) and we need to get started as soon as possible painting and moving furniture??
On the one hand, it wouldn't KILL me to go to the party , I might enjoy it since the bad karioke doesn't start until after our party is over, but on the other hand, it's a really skeezy bar with really skeezy men, and all I want to do at the end of the day is go home, change clothes, and fall asleep in front of the TV.
Wait, when did I become a GUY!?!? LOL
I've got till 4pm to come up with something good to get out of this.....
