Man! You dig on the Canoe? I just can't stand watching him in anything. I saw about 3 minutes of "The Devil's Advocate" and it hurt my head.
The Matrix? Yeah boyeee! That was a good movie, but he could manage it because really Neo was a supporting character and hardly said anything because he was so out of place. (Talk about a fish out of water story). I've also heard him interviewed and he may seem like a nice guy, but yeesh. I just can't stand to watch him. There were these morning DJ's I listened to when I lived in L.A. and I think they put it best for me. "Keanu does one of two things to a movie. He either destroys it completely. Or tries but doesn't quite pull it off."

But hey, I respect you, so if you like the man, I won't give you any shit. To each his own. (even if his own is a little wooden man) ;)

:I have become a big ol' Keanu fan. I think the guy is just plain talented, and after a fashion, tremendously charismatic.

No, he doesn't work well in MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING, and his turn in DRACULA was sort of ill-advised, but he's got movie-star charisma, and, in a bunch of roles, has pulled off some pretty stuff. I even liked him in JOHNNY MNEMONIC.

And, which is probably the elusive "secret factor" of movie-stardom, whether he IS or not, I don't know, bur he *seems* like a nice guy, and that likability comes through on the screen.

So there you go. I'm a Keanu Booster.

Whoa.
