: What is the Askewniverse?
The Askewniverse is the term used to describe the self-contained 'universe' in which all the characters in Kevin Smith's View Askew films (Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back) exist and interact with each other, even outside of their 'native' movie. For instance, the most recent VA film, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, features cameos by a number of characters who appeared in the prior four films. Similarly, the two characters Jay and Silent Bob have appeared in all five films, with varying degrees of headlining.
: How do you the fans feel about this board?
Personally...occasionally, I see a good discussion or question. Sometimes, I see a lot of 12 year-olds and "magnoliafan"s, if you understand what I mean (see J&SBSB if you don't). It can be frustrating, but it can also be rewarding.
: What do you think about Kevin Smith and his movies and characters?
Most of the people who post here love the man, the movies, and the characters. Personally, three of the VA films rank among my favorite top ten movies of all time. The other two VA films follow close behind as well.
