First of all, pal, I never said that the Bible was perfectly written. Nor did I ever say I was the perfect Christian. I know about all the contradictions int he Bible. But NOWHERE does it contradict or even say that it is somewhat okay to be gay. Gay is not biological, it is a chemical imbalance, a mental disorder. Now you may have the rest of the boarders here clapping like seals over your little diatribe, Vinnie, but how many times have I heard that type of comment from somebody? Too many to count. Did I say that everything Falwell said was gospel, hell no. You just assumed it. Do I agree with everything Falwell says? Nope. You just once again assumed that. You also assume that because I didn't justify every verse and every relevance to it, that my 'argument' is weak. Well, you are just as hypocritical as Falwell. So you can garner all the applause you want, and make all the funnies you want. The bottom line is you didn't like what he said...lots of Americans didn't. I didn't care for some things he said. Next time, try not to be just like him and attack with more personal comments... that would be truly "Christian". As for the Old and New? Neither Testament says go out and sleep with whatever you want. The glaring point I wanted to make for a THRID time... is that we shouldn't need a tragedy to come together. We should be good to each other everyday. But, golly, maybe with such cerebral thinkers as yourself, this will be a perfect world after all.
: :The Bible, believe it's origins or not, says homosexuality is wrong (Judges 11)...
: It also says eating shellfish is an abomination in Leviticus. Where's Fallwell when you need him, a new Red Lobster is opening in the neighborhood and we HAVE to start protesting it now, lest the abomination of the consumption of shellfish bring about God's hellfire on us again!
: If you're gonna quote the Bible pal, quote *ALL* of it. There are many, MANY passages that you'd have a hell of a time justifying or explaining away. That book is full of contradictions, and if you are a true "Christian" you'd know that the New Testement supercedes the Old Testement with it's "fire and brimstone" God anyway.
